The occupational therapy uses purposeful activities to prevent the emergence and exacerbation of disability, maintain health and maximize the autonomy of people who are somewhat physically, mentally or psychologically disabled. The Department of Occupational Therapy is equipped with all the necessary tools and equipment to provide highly professional and specialized services. Throughout the year, professional occupational therapists are under the supervision of professors from universities such as Tehran, Shahid Beheshti, Welfare Sciences, etc. and provide service for disabled children under 16.
The services provided in this department are as follows: assessment, provision of health services and rehabilitation, as well as counseling with children and their families. Other activities include teaching daily life skills, developing perceptual, motor and integrative skills, developing game skills, professional skills and leisure-time abilities, interpreting tests such as assessing muscle strength, assessing range of motion and mutual coordination between child and environment.
